Clean fuel use demonstrates your company’s commitment to sustainability, energy independence, and a healthy work environment. Propel helps you capitalize on alternative fuel's advantages while harvesting the power of cleaner technologies. Show the sustainable actions of your business.
Using renewable fuels demonstrates leadership and commitment to safety, health, and the environment. The use of clean fuel can position your organization more effectively for contract bid projects, and the media will reward you for your leadership.
More than ever, customers respond to businesses whose values align with their own. Attract new customers and connect with them by showing a commitment to renewable energy.
Clean fuel improves the heath of your work environment, reducing sick days and improving employee productivity.
Using domestically-produced clean energy strengthens the U.S. economy and shows your support for local farmers.
Why change vehicles when you can make the change to clean fuel? Propel biodiesel is a clean-burning, domestically-produced fuel, derived from 100% renewable resources like soybeans, canola, and mustard seed, easily accessible to drivers at our Clean Fuel Points. Unlike petroleum diesel or gasoline, biodiesel reduces harmful carbon emissions and delivers equivalent performance.
Most importantly, biodiesel can be used in any conventional diesel engine. It is the first clean fuel that does not require the purchase of new vehicles. And you can switch back and forth between biodiesel and petroleum diesel if needed.
E85 is a clean-burning alternative to petroleum gasoline. Derived from fermented grains and sugars, it is formulated for use in flex-fuel engines. Unlike petroleum, E85 is made from renewable resources like corn, and second generation feedstocks such as switch grass, wood and agricultural waste material.
In the Puget Sound area, particulate matter (PM) accounts for more than 70% of the potential cancer risk from all air toxins. Drivers are most affected by toxic PMs. Biodiesel and E85 both reduce PM by over 50%.
Fossil fuels are the largest source of CO2 climate pollution, the cause of global climate change. Using clean fuel reduces your CO2 output by up to 78%.
The lubricity in biodiesel is higher than petro-diesel, and that’s great news for your engine. Using Propel clean-burning biodiesel also translates into less-frequent oil changes over the life of your vehicle, saving you money. Biodiesel users find the engine power and mileage to be the same, yet many get even better mileage. Moreover, the use of E85 in flexfuel engines improves vehicle performance due to a higher octane rating which provides more horsepower and torque.
Propel B99 and E85 are formulated to perform in cold weather temperatures. During periods of extreme cold weather, Propel recommends a 50/50 blend of biodiesel and petro-diesel to avoid potential cold-flow problems.
Understanding the bottom line benefits of biodiesel is smart business. Biodiesel can compete with petroleum diesel based on total fleet Life Cycle Costs, as the study below clearly shows:

To encourage the purchase and use of clean energy, local, state and federal government organizations have implemented tax incentives and grants designed to stimulate business use.
Propel provides your business with strategies to take advantage of all the government incentives available. These incentives range from EPAct credits and matching funds for fueling infrastructure to substantial sales tax breaks on fueling equipment. New incentives are appearing monthly.
Additionally, the U.S. government has passed a number of incentives to promote the use of biodiesel ranging from Clean Diesel Vehicle Retro-fit Kits and Pilot Project Grants.
